沸石簡介：
 
沸石（zeolite）是一種礦石，沸石主要形成于低溫熱液階段，常見于噴出巖氣孔中，也見于熱液礦床和近代溫泉沉積中。沸石可以借水的滲濾作用，以進行陽離子的交換，其成分中的鈉、鈣離子可與水溶液中的鉀、鎂等離子交換，工業上用以軟化硬水。沸石的晶體結構是由硅（鋁）氧四面體連成三維的格架，格架中有各種大小不同的空穴和通道，具有很大的開放性。堿金屬或堿土金屬離子和水分子均分布在空穴和通道中，與格架的聯系較弱。不同的離子交換對沸石結構影響很小，但使沸石的性質發生變化。晶格中存在的大小不同空腔，可以吸取或過濾大小不同的其他物質的分子。工業上常將其作為分子篩，以凈化或分離混合成分的物質 ，如氣體分離、石油凈化、處理工業污染等。
 
沸石特點：
 
沸石具有吸附性、離子交換性、催化和耐酸耐熱等性能，因此被廣泛用作吸附劑、離子交換劑和催化劑，也可用于氣體的干燥、凈化和污水處理等方面。沸石還具有“營養”價值。在飼料中添加5%的沸石粉，能使禽畜生長加快，體壯肉鮮，產蛋率高。

沸石用途：
 
一、天然沸石是一種新興材料，被廣泛應用于工業、農業、*等部門，并且它的用途還在不斷地開拓。沸石被用作離子交換劑、吸附分離劑、干燥劑、催化劑、水泥混合材料。在石油、化學工業中，用作石油煉制的催化裂化、氫化裂化和石油的化學異構化、重整、烷基化、歧化；氣、液凈化、分離和儲存劑；硬水軟化、海水淡化劑；特殊干燥劑（干燥空氣、氮、烴類等）。在輕工行業用于造紙、合成橡膠、塑料、樹脂、涂料充填劑和素質顏色等。在*、空間技術、**真空技術、開發能源、電子工業等方面，用作吸附分離劑和干燥劑。在建材工業中，用作水泥水硬性活性摻和料，燒制人工輕骨料，制作輕質高強度板材和磚。在農業上用作土壤改良劑，能起保肥、保水、防止病蟲害的作用。在禽畜業中，作飼料（豬、雞）的添加劑和除臭劑等，可促進牲口成長，提高小雞成活率。在環境保護方面，用來處理廢氣、廢水，從廢水廢液中脫除或回收金屬離子，脫除廢水中放射性污染物。

用途：活化沸石是工業給水、廢水處理及自來水過濾的新型理想濾料。
