800HT合金具有以下特性：
1. 在高達500℃的較高溫的水性介質中具有出色的抗腐蝕性
2. 很好的抗應力腐蝕的性能
3. 很好的加工性
Incoloy 800HT 的金相結構
800HT為面心立方晶格結構。較低的碳含量和提高了的Ti:C 比率增加了結構的穩定性和較大的抗敏化性以及抗晶間腐蝕性。950℃左右的低溫退火**了細晶結構。
Incoloy 800HT 的耐腐蝕性
800H 能耐很多腐蝕介質腐蝕。其較高的鎳含量使其在水性腐蝕條件具有很好的抗應力腐蝕開裂性能。高鉻含量使之具有更好的耐點腐蝕和縫隙腐蝕開裂性能。該合金具有很好的耐硝酸、有機酸腐蝕性，但是在硫酸和鹽酸中的耐腐蝕性有限。除了在鹵化物有可能發生點腐蝕外，在氧化性和非氧化性鹽中有很好的耐腐蝕性。在水、蒸氣以及蒸汽、空氣、二氧化碳的混合物中也具有很好的耐腐蝕性。

1. 硝酸冷凝器——耐硝酸腐蝕
2. 蒸汽加熱管——很好的機械性能
3. 加熱元件管——很好的機械性能
對于應用于高達500℃的環境，合金供貨態為退火態。
